Former BlackRock Exec Joins Evercore As CEO

NEW YORK (AP) Boutique investment banking firm Evercore Partners Inc. said Friday that Ralph Schlosstein has joined the firm as president and chief executive, effective immediately.
Schlosstein previously was president and co-founder of financial services firm BlackRock. Evercore said Schlosstein will work with Chairman Roger Altman and the firm's other partners to expand the company's core advisory business and further globalize and diversify its overall business.
