Allstate Hires AIG Executive As Unit CEO

NORTHBROOK, Ill. (AP) Property-and-casualty insurer Allstate Corp. on Tuesday named Matthew Winter president and CEO of its Allstate Financial unit, effective Oct. 26.
Winter, 52, replaces George Ruebenson, who had been interim CEO since December 2008. Ruebenson continues as president of Allstate Protection, Allstate's property and casualty business unit. Allstate Financial offers life insurance and retirement products. Winter was previously vice chairman of American International Group and has also served as president and CEO of AIG American General Domestic Life Cos.- Loading Comments...
